FAQ

Size

To be sure of the size, you should consult our size guide. Here you can find all sizes for each product. With this info, you will be able to better determine the perfect size for your body.

First time use

With each 30seven®heated clothing piece you receive the number of batteries needed and the necessary charger.

The battery does not need to be fully-charged to function. Fully charging the battery regularly can prolong the battery life.

Always use the charger included to charge the battery.

Please note that it takes 5 minutes until your product is at optimum heat.

Maintenance

Firstly, always remove the batteries. The products and the heating elements can be washed, but not the batteries. The products and heating elements can be washed at 30°C/40°C depending on the product. Use the provided washing bag for the products with a removable Novaheat® system. This way the wires will not get tangled up in the washing machine.

Exceptions: Leather gloves and leather gloves reinforced waterproof cannot be washed in a washing machine. These products can only be cleaned with a (damp) cloth.

Attention: Batteries cannot be washed.

Some base layers and jackets have a removable heating system. This system can be washed in the washing bag provided. Socks have a removable heating element as well. This can easily be re-installed by following the “How to use instructions” supplied with the product (also available online).

Yes, washing detergent can be used for the base layers, jackets and socks. The gloves in natural leather should not be washed with detergent, because washing detergent can cause damage.
The heating elements and gloves can only be washed with water.
The use of bleach on any product is not advised as this may cause damage or stain the product.

Batteries

You can find a detailed description on the technology page.

The charging time takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on the type of batte

The battery lifespan is good for more than a 1,000 full charges. The battery capacity may decline over time but still holds up to 1,000 charges. Your batteries are covered by a 6-month warranty if these have been properly used and stored.

We recommend only using the supplied charger to charge and re-charge the batteries. Using another charger may affect the battery life and can endanger your safety. Using products with chargers other than those supplied may invalidate the warranty. Battery damage as a result of the use of a different charger can be detected if returned under warranty.

The battery life depends on the heating level.

Battery for gloves: 2-3 hours at the highest heating level and up to 6 hours at the lowest heating level
Battery for socks: 4-5 hours at the highest heating level and up to 9 hours at the lowest heating level
Battery base layer and jacket super power technology: 4-5 hours at the highest heating level and up to 6 hours at the lowest heating level
Battery base layer and jacket rapid battery technology: 2-3 hours

The precise battery life always depends on the individual and factors such as outdoor temperature, humidity level and the possible aging of the battery can play a part.

For the heated gloves there is a small zipper pocket at the cuff of each heated glove. When opened you will find a wire inside each glove that is used to connect the battery.

For the jackets and base layers the batteries are connected in the pockets. Depending on the type of jacket and technology, there are 1 or 2 batteries per jacket. Our rapid power technology requires 2 batteries, our super power requires only 1 battery.

For the socks, the battery needs to be fastened around your leg with the strap (included).

Yes you can. The lifespan of the glove battery is less long. You also won’t be able to shift through the different heating levels.

As long as the battery is connected to the heating element, it continues to consume a small amount of power even when it is not in-use. Therefore we always recommend disconnecting the heating element if you are no longer using it (e.g. during lunch, a break). This will save energy and increase battery life.

It is recommended to (re)charge the battery only shortly before actual use (e.g. overnight), as a battery still loses capacity even if it is not actively enabled. This loss of capacity over time takes place in all lithium-ion batteries and unfortunately cannot be avoided.

A lithium-ion battery cannot be overcharged, so it can easily withstand an overnight stay in the socket, although it only needs 4 hours for it to full charge.

Store your battery in a dry place at room temperature. Before you put the battery aside for long-term storage (e.g. after winter, a ski trip, the MTB season), it is important to fully or partially charge it. This recommendation is based on the described chemical process which does discharge your battery. Doing this will give the battery a guaranteed longer lifespan.

Advice: Charge the batteries at least every 3 months to prolong the battery life.

Safety

No this normally will not happen when used correctly. We have the safest technology on the market. Our products should never overheat or cause injury. Novaheat®technology is 100% safe. If a battery overheats or malfunctions, stop using it immediately and contact us.

Lithium batteries should not be tampered with or misused.

There is no product on the market as safe as ours:

- From the battery to the glove there are safeties build in to our products to protect you.
- By using 7V low voltage batteries we support the safety for our customers even more.
- The Novaheat®technology is also water-resistant and can be machine washed and dried. The exception to this is the batteries.

If your heated clothing has been damaged due to an accident, we advise you not to use these anymore.

Our clothing is developed to protect you from cold. The technology is developed from durable materials for an active lifestyle. Products produced by 30seven® are not designed to protect you from direct impact.

Clothing

For optimal use, wear the base layer on top of your thermal layer that is in direct contact with your skin and below any jacket, fleece, or outer layer.

The material composition & breathable structure of the base layer is carefully selected and chosen to function for optimal moisture regulation within a 3-layered dress code.

We are developing new technologies but still support our old technologies. Spare parts are available, please contact us for further questions

You can cut the heated soles on the lines that are printed on them. This way, you are sure you will not damage the heating element in the soles.

All gloves are waterproof except the “gloves double cuff” and the “gloves leather”. These are water-resistant.

Please be aware that our gloves and other products are not cut resistant. We use strong long lasting materials that are needed specifically for the sport or activity they are meant to be used in. The 30seven®Novaheat®technology has many safety features built-in. They can protect you from electric shocks, water damage, overheating, impacts, and more. However when a product is damaged due to an accident we do not recommend using the product any more. There is 2 year warranty period that is valid on all 30seven®products that are properly used and stored.

Jacket and base layer:

At the highest heating level temperature can rise up to 68°C / 154°F

We recommend this level only for a very short period to warm-up your body at the beginning (or when at its coldest). In this mode, the battery life will of course be the shortest.

At the lowest heating level temperature can rise up to 48°C / 118°F

At this level the body receives a sustainable and comfortable temperature sufficient for longer use. In this mode, battery life is extended with heating up to 6 hours.

 Gloves and insoles:

At the highest heating level temperature can rise up to 62°C / 143.6°F

We recommend this level only for a very short period to warm-up your body at the beginning (or when at its coldest). In this mode, the battery life will of course be the shortest.

At the lowest heating level temperature can rise up to 41°C / 105.8°F

At this level the body receives a sustainable and comfortable temperature sufficient for longer use. In this mode, battery life is strongly extended with heating up to 6 hours.

Socks:

At the highest heating level temperature can rise up to 62°C / 143.6°F

We recommend this level only for a very short period to warm up your body at the beginning (or when at its coldest). In this mode, the battery life will of course be the shortest.

At the lowest heating level temperature can rise up to 41°C / 105.8°F

At this level the body receives a sustainable and comfortable temperature sufficient for longer use. In this mode, battery life is strongly extended with heating up to 9 hours.

The cables of the socks are as long as the socks themselves. For the short socks this is 42 cm long, for the long socks it is 49.5 cm long. This means that the battery is best worn on the end of the sock. The strap to carry the battery is adjusted to this.

The cables of the insoles are 24.5 cm long. As a consequence, the band must be worn just above the ankle. The belt is not wide enough to carry it higher.
